A week in Photos

This laptop is acting up lately. I just wrote a post and it shuts off immediately without warning me, and I lost that whole post. So, let me just start over.

imageLiana had her last field trip of the school year so I volunteered to go with, It was pretty fun, this girl especially wanted to sit with me on the bus and she was holding my hand almost the whole time of the field trip. I got to go on the bus with them.

imageAfter the field trip, the bus stopped at a nearby playground and the kids had their lunch and played a while before heading back to school.

another beach day for Ava while the other kids at school.

Game night! by the way, T was sitting right there when I snap this picture but then he moved away because in his teenage mind, he thinks he’s too cool. (not cool)

image

Ava wanted to paint Olaf instead of playing Apples to Apples with us. she just don’t get it yet, which is more understandable than T’s reason not to be in the picture. 🙂image

admiring this white flower tree so much. right in front of our front door, it smells good too.

this is probably my first ever frappuchino, I don’t know. but I got it right after zumba. I brought dinner and we get to sit and watch TV while eating McD’s. which is very very rare, that’s why I want to capture this very special moment. 🙂

We’re watching the season finale of SURVIVOR. this turns out to be a family favorite show. Ava likes the challenges/games, she’ll say “I wanna do that!”  Mashell asked us if we think she can compete in that show. 🙂

baseball session, so cute when Ava wants to join.

more baseball pictures to come. 🙂

Arts and Crafts

Last week we did few arts and craft projects. Liana and I made these “God’s eye”,

image

she learns to do this in church. we used sticks that we brought from the beach and yarns. It was pretty fun. And she finished her Lego set that she got from her birthday. We were so impressed, she spent about 2 weeks putting this together. sometimes she’ll come home from school and get to it right away. so much concentration and details going on to this one. 🙂

image

and this is Mashell’s drawing she did a while back and just took a picture of it. PEACE!

image

Ava learns to write her name, and she’s all about rainbows. everything she draws has to turn into rainbow colors.

Junior Chef in Training

Mashell has been watching Cupcake War and Junior Chef lately, and she is pretty inspired. She likes to make her own food sometimes, weather its a simple sandwich or tomato soup, that’s a good start.

So, she came home from school one day and asked if she can make herself some lunch. Its tuna sandwich with toasted bread. Nice presentation. 🙂

or scrambled eggs and tomato soup

and then on Friday night, after watching Cupcake War, she asked to make cookies, with the help of little sisters. And from start to finish, they made these coconut flakes cookies that she found the recipe online.

imageimageimage

she found a perfect small batch recipe, so everybody has 3 cookies.image image

Now that’s a Happy Dance for the delicious cookies. the cookies were so soft and very good.

Pretty soon she’ll be making dinner or breakfast in bed would be nice too. 🙂

What a Week!!!

It all started when Tyler left early Monday morning to Thailand. Then Liana and Ava got a cold and I didn’t even think about it until the next day when I realized it was too late because we were all sleeping on my bed so by then I caught the cold too. Liana ended up staying home for two days. it was a fairly warm sunny day so sat outside, did homework and played for a while.

image

My allergy was getting pretty bad, and it seems like every time I go outside, it gets better. And I like it because I want to be outside anyways. that means working in the yard and gardening. we got few things to plant.

image

we got tomatoes, blue berries, raspberries and a gardenia plant.

image

start planting! she loves watering plants. my baseball gardener!

image image

so cute when she wears T’s baseball cap. 🙂 we’ll see if she has green thumbs.

image  and then these two has their games. Thankfully, they played at the same field at around the same time which is very rare.

image

Ava is so friendly and knows how to make friends. she just walks up to these girls and said ” guys let’s play duck-duck-goose. I wish I’m like her when it comes to making friends. so easy for her to do.

image

this girl tho, last night she told me about pink lipstick, purple nail polish and dress. the next morning she woke up and asked to paint her nails.
