Ava starts her swimming lesson. I asked her to make a pose so I can take a picture and this is what I got. 🙂
while we were waiting for her to finish herlesson, a friend of ours told us about a GIANT SQUID some local fishermen caught and took to the university’s lab. It sounds interesting we had to check it out. We found out that its the 3rd LARGEST SQUID in the world. wow, I felt like we just witnessed some kind of history or something. Mashell and Liana touched it but Ava can’t stand the smell of it, she kept holding her nose closed and asked us to leave. she sure has a strong sense smell, she gets to touch the sea cucumber tho. 🙂
It is President’s day this week so the kids had the whole week off from school. Three days into the week with non-stop raining and stuck in the house, I decided its time to get out. I could see that they are out of creative ideas/things to do, looking bored and too much just dance and screen time. So, we went to the library. And it sure does the trick, so quiet and relaxing.
while the girls are busy reading, this guy is trying to take a nap. 🙂
and then later on, he finally picked up a book and joined in. he won’t read books unless its sports-related. I love watching them read, especially when Liana is reading to Ava. So cute!
we went out for lunch after the library, and Ava just got so excited over her “Rainbow Dash” toy she got with her happy meal that she barely finished her lunch. And her toy matches her shirt too! ah what a coincident!
And for dinner, the girls helped me made chicken enchilada for dinner and it was verryyyyy goooooooodddd!
Reminder of the day: a little simple treat can make someone so happy!
I have been roller blading a lot lately. i would take Ava and her bike to a neighborhood cul-de-sac and roller blade there until Ava gets tired. the funny thing to me is that, last month I searched online for a roller rink in town and could not find any. Then two weeks later, Mashell got invited to a roller skating birthday party and I just freaked out. 🙂 I was as excited as she is about the party. It says on the invitation that the family is invited, so I took all three girls and went. Ava got to roller skate for the first time and she did really good, so cute! Mashell had a sleepover at her friend’s house that night.
It has been six months since we left Washington and moved here to the North Coast Cali. A lot of things happened during these past six months, that made it seem like its longer than that. We had a whole month to get settled in and find our way around this new town before school starts, thankfully. We spent a lot of time at the beach and exploring the enormous redwood forests surround the area.
We have settled in our new place and the kids get back to school just fine. There are quite some times that I kept saying how much I miss Pullman. Our little one kept saying “I want to go to Pullman, I miss Pullman,” or she’ll mention her friends and neighbors name, and it sure breaks my heart to hear her say that. Poor girl still a lil young to understand why we just pack our stuff and move here.
one thing that we definitely love about this place is the beach, it is only a 5 minute drive from our place. the water is always cold tho, and we never go swimming because it is not so safe. we even found crabs one time caught it and I took it home and made a nice dinner with it, only I ate it tho. 🙂
these are some pictures of us at the beach, I always take pictures at the beach. something about the beach, every time we go there, I instantly feel free, peaceful and happy! 🙂
